Denver Summit Breaks Ground on $200 Million Stadium
Denver Summit FC has broken ground on its new $200 million stadium at Santa Fe Yards, with completion now targeted for late 2028 rather than early in that season. The Populous-designed venue will have 12,500 fixed seats and room for another 500 standing spectators, down from the originally planned 14,500. The privately financed stadium is part of a 14-acre redevelopment, with Denver contributing up to $70 million for land acquisition and infrastructure improvements. Read more here.
Rays enlist Legends Global for $2.36 billion ballpark project
The Tampa Bay Rays have appointed Legends Global to help deliver their planned 31,000-seat stadium in Tampa, scheduled to open in 2029. Legends will serve as the team’s representative during design and construction while overseeing sales of naming rights, sponsorships, suites and premium seating. The agreement follows city and county approval of the stadium’s financing package in August, giving the Rays’ new ownership group a path toward replacing Tropicana Field. Read more here.
Athletics’ Las Vegas Ballpark cost climbs to $2.1 billion
The estimated cost of the Athletics’ new Las Vegas ballpark has risen by $100 million to $2.1 billion, partly because the team has assumed responsibility for a parking garage and central utility plant originally assigned to Bally’s Corp. With approximately $700 million in construction work completed, the team expects to begin tapping public financing in 2027 as work continues toward the stadium’s planned 2028 opening. Read more here.
Hellas Verona Proposes $350 Million Stadium for Euro 2032
Hellas Verona FC has submitted plans to replace its existing Marcantonio Bentegodi Stadium with a new 30,000-seat venue designed by Gensler. The nearly €300 million ($350 million) project would be financed primarily through private investment, with some public funding for infrastructure. The proposed stadium would accommodate football, concerts and other events, with completion targeted for the 2031-32 season. Bologna announces plans for $338 million stadium ahead of Euro 2032
Bologna FC and exhibition operator BolognaFiere have reached an agreement to develop a €300 million ($338 million), 35,000-seat stadium in Bologna, Italy. The proposed venue will feature a retractable roof and movable playing field, allowing it to accommodate concerts, exhibitions and conferences. Construction is targeted for completion in spring 2031. Blue Jays’ LED pylon wins 2026 Stadium Sign Design award
The Toronto Blue Jays’ upgraded LED pylon outside Rogers Centre has won the 2026 Sign Design Award for best arena or stadium installation from Sign Builder Illustrated. Completed in 2025, the project features 10 mm exterior LED technology, creating approximately 4,800 square feet (446 square meters) of continuous digital canvas with 4.4 million pixels. Florida Panthers upgrade arena’s broadcast infrastructure with fiber network
The Florida Panthers have upgraded the broadcast cabling infrastructure at Amerant Bank Arena, replacing aging copper coaxial cabling with a fiber-forward network designed to support modern sports production. The organization selected Remee Wire & Cable’s ClearCast hybrid SMPTE cables, multipair audio cables, and REMFO fiber-optic products. The new infrastructure provides greater bandwidth and flexibility for broadcast operations while accommodating future production technologies. Read more here.

Boston Legacy selects Levy for White Stadium hospitality
Boston Legacy FC has named Levy its official food and beverage partner for the renovated White Stadium, scheduled to open for the 2028 NWSL season. The agreement will bring local restaurants and chefs into the 10,500-seat venue, alongside self-service concession markets, traditional food stands and premium hospitality offerings. Chicago Fire unveil $25,000 premium seating packages at new stadium
Chicago Fire FC has unveiled premium hospitality offerings for its new 22,000-seat McDonald’s Park, scheduled to open in 2028. The MLS club will offer approximately 600 luxury seats priced between $10,000 and $25,000, including an invitation-only Chairman’s Club, field-level seating with access to a private speakeasy overlooking the player tunnel, and semi-private loge suites. Sixers sign reported $30 million-plus jersey patch deal with Bloom Energy
The Philadelphia 76ers have signed a multiyear jersey patch sponsorship agreement with Bloom Energy, reportedly worth more than $30 million annually. The energy company replaces Crypto.com as the team’s jersey sponsor, securing prominent exposure following the arrival of LeBron James and Jaylen Brown. Rice Stadium gets first naming rights sponsor in 76-year history
Rice University has signed a 20-year naming rights agreement with Houston-based First Community Credit Union, renaming its historic football venue First Community Stadium. The deal, brokered by Elevate, also makes the credit union Rice Athletics’ official financial institution and includes broader campus programs. The agreement comes as Rice prepares a $120 million stadium renovation that will reduce seating capacity from 47,000 to approximately 30,000 while adding premium amenities. Oasis residency creates revenue opportunity for Manchester City
Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium will host 11 Oasis concerts in June 2027, marking the venue’s largest summer concert series to date. More than half a million tickets were made available for the residency, while Manchester City is managing hospitality sales, with premium packages priced from £549 to £799 per person.
