Sacramento Republic finalizes plans for 20,000-seat downtown stadium
Sacramento Republic FC and Wilton Rancheria announced that their new Republic Stadium at The Railyards will be built as a 20,000-plus-seat soccer-specific venue rather than expanding in phases as originally planned. Denver Summit FC finalizes land deal for future soccer stadium
Denver Summit FC has finalized the acquisition of land at Santa Fe Yards near Broadway and Interstate 25 for its planned soccer-specific stadium development in Denver. Leeds United begins £150M ($190 million) expansion of Elland Road
Leeds United have begun initial construction work on a major redevelopment of Elland Road, a £150-million project that will increase the stadium’s capacity from about 38,000 to roughly 53,000 seats. Bolder, brighter moments coming to Wrigley Field
The Cubs are upgrading eight LED displays at Wrigley Field ahead of the 2026 MLB season, refreshing more than 8,300 square feet of digital signage across the historic ballpark. The project adds more than 1.4 million LEDs and improves resolution and viewing angles by reusing existing structures, enhancing sustainability and fan engagement. Read more here.
Diamondbacks install Arizona’s largest video display at Chase Field
The Arizona Diamondbacks have installed a massive new center-field LED display at Chase Field measuring 63 feet high by 152 feet wide and providing nearly 9,600 square feet of digital canvas. The upgrade, which is about 52% larger than the previous board, also includes new ribbon displays around the seating bowl, bringing the ballpark’s total LED footprint to more than 21,000 square feet. Padres expand Petco Park LED footprint with new displays
The San Diego Padres debuted a new LED tower displays along the baselines at Petco Park, as well as a high-resolution video wall inside the Lexus Club. The additions, installed ahead of the 2026 MLB season, expand the ballpark’s digital display network and provide new opportunities for game presentation, sponsorship messaging, and live statistical content. Thunder secure naming rights deal for new Oklahoma City arena
The Oklahoma City Thunder have signed a 15-year naming rights agreement with Oklahoma-based oil and gas producer Continental Resources for their new downtown arena, which will be called Continental Coliseum. Read more here.
Seattle Sounders drop Ticketmaster, move ticketing to Jump platform
The Seattle Sounders and Seattle Reign will end their ticketing partnership with Ticketmaster and transition to the Jump platform beginning in 2027. The new system will handle ticket sales, resale, pricing, and fan engagement under a single digital platform, giving the clubs direct control of fan data and commerce operations. Read more here.
