AT&T, Cowboys extend stadium technology partnership
AT&T and the Dallas Cowboys have extended their partnership supporting connectivity and digital experiences at AT&T Stadium. New features for the 2026 season include app and kiosk-based wayfinding, augmented and mixed reality fan activities, and priority network access available to attendees regardless of their mobile carrier. Virginia Tech upgrades Lane Stadium video and audio
Virginia Tech has unveiled an end zone video board at Lane Stadium measuring 44.5 feet high by 96 feet wide, with 10 mm pixel spacing and the ability to show multiple content zones. The project also adds a stadium audio system integrated with the video and scoring systems, plus centralized monitoring and control for connected sound equipment. Read more here.

New Nissan Stadium’s exterior takes shape
Construction on the Tennessee Titans’ new Nashville stadium has reached several visible milestones: the glass curtain wall is complete, the first ETFE roof cushions are in place, and seating installation is beginning. Crews are also installing game clocks, a west LED board and a main concourse ribbon board. Read more here.
Trail Blazers select contractor for proposed Moda Center renovation
The Portland Trail Blazers have selected PCL Construction as contractor for a proposed multiyear renovation of Moda Center, according to Portland Mayor Keith Wilson. The selection moves planning forward, but the team and city have yet to finalize the agreement needed for the arena work. Read more here.
Toyota Stadium campus planned for hospitality district
Hunt Sports Development has partnered with Peak Curated Development and Venu Holding Corporation on a mixed-use district beside FC Dallas’ Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas. Plans include a 290-room hotel, convention space, dining and live entertainment, extending the stadium campus’s use beyond matchdays. Read more here.
Populous to design 70,000-seat stadium in Vietnam
Developer Sun Group has selected Populous to design a 70,000-seat stadium and an 18,000-seat arena at the Rach Chiec National Sports Complex outside Ho Chi Minh City. The stadium will have a retractable, acoustically rated roof designed to limit noise from concerts and other major events near residential areas. Read more here.

Tigers’ Comerica Park to become Fifth Third Park
The Detroit Tigers’ ballpark will be renamed Fifth Third Park following Fifth Third’s merger with Comerica, whose name has been on the venue since it opened in 2000. Fifth Third takes over the existing naming rights agreement through 2034, with new signage planned for the offseason ahead of the 2027 MLB season. Read more here.
Rays select Legends Global for new Tampa ballpark
The Tampa Bay Rays have signed a long-term agreement with Legends Global to represent the team during development of its planned 31,000-seat ballpark and lead naming rights, sponsorship, premium seating and suite sales. The proposed venue is slated to open in 2029 on Hillsborough College’s Dale Mabry campus in Tampa. Read more here.
American Airlines becomes Inter Miami’s first airline partner
Inter Miami CF has signed a multiyear agreement making American Airlines its first official airline partner and a founding partner of Nu Stadium and Miami Freedom Park. American will sponsor the stadium’s 1,800-plus-seat West Club, to be called the American Lounge, and offer matchday and travel experiences through its AAdvantage loyalty program. Read more here.
Databricks takes naming rights at Cal football stadium
UC Berkeley has struck a deal with Databricks to name its football field Databricks Field at California Memorial Stadium. The agreement, reported to be worth up to $22.8 million over 10 years, also makes the Berkeley-founded company Cal Athletics’ official data and AI platform and puts its logo at midfield and on football helmets.
